Have you already packed for your holidays?

Though the summer season in aviation began in the end of March, June marks the start of most of seasonal flights, and the airports are filled with happy people wearing sun hats and ready to apply sunscreen – after all, they are about to start their holidays! As many as four airlines will launch flights at Lithuanian airports this month - Germania and Vueling will fly to Vilnius; Belavia and Ukraine International Airlines will operate to Palanga. Popular routes Vilnius-Odessa and Palanga-Moscow will be re-launched very soon as well.

So, book your tickets, pack your luggage, and we will meet you at Lithuanian airports and accompany you to the plane heading to your most fabulous holiday destination!

New routes
Wizz Air: Vilnius–Nice

From 3 August Wizz Air will launch flights from Vilnius to Nice in the south of France. Planes heading to the sunny French Riviera, also known as the Côte d'Azur, will take off twice a week - on Wednesdays and Sundays.

Ryanair: Vilnius-Oslo (Gardermoen Airport)

From 30 October Ryanair will operate daily flights from Vilnius to the main Oslo airport - Gardermoen.

Germania: Vilnius-Zürich - already in service!

Air service between Lithuania and Switzerland is already re-launched! We welcomed Germania aircraft at Vilnius Airport - the journalists from the international aviation website anna.aero evaluated the spectacular view as the most beautiful water salute in the whole world that week!

What's new at the airports?
Vilnius: Opportunity to support the poor

Vilnius Airport provides an opportunity for its passengers to support the poor - a special box was set up where travellers can leave foodstuffs or cosmetics which are not allowed in hand luggage. The products collected will be given to the poor.

Vilnius: Investment project for aviation business development

VNO Industrial Area is an investment project launched at Vilnius Airport. An 8 ha territory located in the area of Vilnius Airport is designated for specific companies providing small aircraft maintenance, repair and operations (MRO), air freight transport, business and general aviation services.

Kaunas: A new hotel to open near the airport next spring

The construction of a modern two-storey hotel, Airhotel, in front of the arrivals terminal, has already begun. The hotel will accommodate 106 guests in 53 rooms at a time. The opening of the hotel is expected in spring 2017.

Palanga: Online parking reservation

Palanga Airport introduced an online car parking reservation system. Passengers can pre-book a car parking space and pay for it in order to avoid any parking related troubles upon arrival.

Lithuania's Parliament gave green light to the concession project

The implementation of the concession project will add to the country's connectivity in each of Lithuania's airports: growth in passenger traffic, flights and routes; possibilities of attracting new airlines thanks to the concessionaire's network.
