Lithuanian Airports do not Lose Momentum

In September, we were happy to observe the increasing numbers of passengers in all Lithuanian airports. The highest increase in the number of passengers flying to Stockholm, Tallinn, Kiev and Oslo was detected in Vilnius Airport, while in Kaunas Airport more people travelled to London and Copenhagen.

Palanga Airport continues to impress as it is the second fastest growing airport (61 percent) in Europe. This airport has had excellent results over the course of three quarters, and in September it provided services to 61 per cent more passengers than during the same period last year. The increase was caused mostly by the popularity of new routes that were introduced this year.

Since the end of March, there have been more aeroplanes in Kaunas as well because Wizz Air started operating here and will offer more new routes during the winter season.

The new winter season will begin in Lithuanian airports as early as 30 October, so follow the news and plan your trips!
