In Lithuanian Airports – the beginning of aviation summer!

Although spring is making only the very first steps in Lithuania, Lithuanian Airports have already started intensive preparations for summer flights season which will start at the end of March. In aviation summer, we will expand our route map, so passengers will have a possibility to choose from a wider range of holiday directions!

Lithuanian Airports have counted that over the course of this year ten new routes will become available from the three airports in the country, and even seven routes out of all – from the main country`s air gateway.

However, it`s not the end! Lithuanian Airports intend to continue expanding a route map and revitalizing tourism market in the country, however this time it will be done after discussing this topic with country`s businessmen and taking their actual needs into consideration. New flight directions are relevant to all of our passengers – both for those going on vacation and travelling for business!

From March 27 it will be possible to reach Munich from Vilnius with airBaltic , whereas on March 30 Ryanair will launch a new route from Palanga to Glasgow.

Runway reconstruction in Vilnius

CityBee improves communication between Vilnius and Kaunas

From now on, Vilnius and Kaunas city residents will be able to use CityBee for intercity trips – if you take a car in Vilnius, you will able to leave it in Kaunas and vice versa. In particular, this new decision will serve during Vilnius Airport reconstruction when a question of communication possibilities between Vilnius and Kaunas will be of critical importance.

Tips for effective runway reconstruction – from colleagues abroad

Vilnius Airport runway reconstruction is one of the most important events in Lithuanian aviation market in 2017. While carefully planning reconstruction works, Lithuanian Airports have a chance to learn from the experience of foreign colleagues who successfully implemented similar reconstructions at both Bergamo Airport in Milan, Italy, and Klagenfurt Airport in Austria.

Carriers are invited to ensure effective communication between country`s airports

In order to ensure passenger comfort and smooth communication between Vilnius and Kaunas Airport during the reconstruction, Lithuanian Airports have encouraged all Lithuanian carriers to suggest plans for implementing this in the best possible way.

What`s new at the airports?

Due to passenger flow and number of flights that have been significantly growing last year, Lithuanian Airports captured a record year. Palanga Airport demonstrated outstanding results and was recognized as one of the TOP5 European Airports that in 2016 were growing in the fastest way!

Route development – after evaluating needs of country`s businessmen

It has been already agreed that over this year Lithuanian Airports will announce ten new flight directions, however it`s not the end! Lithuanian Airports intend to continue expanding their route map, however this time it will be done after discussing this topic with country`s businessmen and taking their actual needs into consideration.
