Extend your holidays with Lithuanian airports!

The summer season is not over – Lithuanian airports offer as many as 67 destinations where you can extend your holidays. In September the route map of Lithuanian airports was expanded with new routes – you can now travel directly from Vilnius to Berlin, Glasgow, Munich (Memmingen) and Billund. Connections with Brussels, Stockholm, Helsinki, Paris and Kyiv have improved as well. In aviation the summer will go on until the end of October, so there is definitely enough time for you to catch a few rays of sunlight abroad. Start your holidays right at the airport!

For October travellers from Vilnius

Stop by at the FilmBox LT cinema hall (next to the gates A1 and A2) – we have renewed our short film program and dedicated October for Latvian filmmakers. Click here for the program.

For next year’s holiday planners

Starting from June 2016 Vueling, a Spanish low-cost airline, will commence flights from Vilnius to Barcelona. Tickets are already on sale; one-way fares start at EUR 49.99. More information here.

For 2017 holiday planners

From 14 July to 18 August 2017 the runway of Vilnius Airport will be under reconstruction and aviation operations in the capital will be suspended. The airlines are planning to move their flights to Kaunas Airport and Palanga Airport. More information here.

For safety-minded passengers

Starting from 1 September certain changes in passenger screening procedures were introduced in Lithuanian airports – following the EU regulations, randomly selected passengers are screened by a special explosive detection device. More information here.

For passengers arriving at Vilnius Airport too early

In cooperation with the festival Vilnius Street Art, an old water tower in the airport’s area was decorated with the moon. Rumour has it that it can also be seen from a taxiing aircraft. Look around! More information here.

Water for your trip

Lithuanian airports and the companies operating in them joined the initiative of Airports Council International (ACI Europe) and provide an opportunity to buy a bottle of water for your trip (0.5 l) for 1 euro or even less beyond the passenger security checkpoint. More information here.
