Arrival at the Airport
We recommend
- when traveling by car, we recommend stopping and dropping off passengers with special needs at the short-term parking zone located at the departure terminal. A vehicle may park here free of charge for 15 minutes;
- if you believe that dropping off a passenger with special needs will require more than 15 minutes, please complete this form no later than 48 hours before the flight;

All public transport vehicles traveling to the airport are adapted for passengers traveling with wheelchairs.

Notification of arrival
Passengers who wish to use the free special assistance service, regardless of the booking method, must notify staff of their arrival at the airport in one of the following ways:
- by calling +370 460 56400;
- by approaching the flight check-in desk (no need to wait in the general queue);
- by lifting the phone receiver at the assistance call point (information on where to find it is provided below);
- by sending an SMS message to +370 460 56400;
(we recommend this method for passengers with hearing impairments; indicate in the message that you have already arrived and where you are located).

Services at the Airport
Special telephone in the terminal
A special telephone is installed in the terminal. Here passengers can announce their arrival / request assistance and wait for arriving personnel to help them. You will find this location in the departure hall.
Private screening room
Passengers with individual needs may request a private screening room at the security checkpoint.
Complimentary wheelchairs
Complimentary wheelchairs are available for use at the airport (located next to the baby stroller area). They can be found at the check-in desks.
After use, please leave wheelchairs at the boarding gates.
Complimentary Sunflower Lanyards
Complimentary Sunflower Lanyards, which indicate a hidden disability, are available at the airport. Please request one at the check-in desks or security screening boarding pass scanning stations. Airport staff are trained to recognise this accessory and are prepared to provide additional attention and time.
Specialized transport to aircraft
For boarding/disembarking passengers traveling with wheelchairs to/from the aircraft, an Aviramp Continental Remote, S/N 1806 ramp is used.
Accessible toilets
Accessible toilets for wheelchair users are available in both the departure and arrival terminals.
Wheelchairs
During departure, the passenger may use their wheelchair up to the aircraft door. After boarding the passenger onto the aircraft, the wheelchair is loaded into the baggage hold and its further transportation is the responsibility of the airline. At the arrival airport, the passenger has the right to receive their wheelchair at the aircraft door.
Please note that if your wheelchair was damaged or lost during the journey, the airport will provide you with a wheelchair for temporary use (contact the baggage search office).
Departure from the Airport
At the short-term parking zone located at the terminal, a passenger waiting area is designated. Assistance service staff, upon passenger request, will escort to this location.
